Maps:
DM-Zeitkind (Downtown)
CTF-Moxixtl (Grinding Stone)
ONS-Diamond Sword

Most of these were created between 2003-2006, using the Unreal Engine v.2.0. I worked full time and had a family, so time spent was usually at night.

I really got into this map; I loved lighting it. Light and sound. I wanted players to feel absolutely emmersed in this downtown city. I never wanted them to be in a place in the map where they were not reminded that they were in a living, breathing city–albeit–sleeping city.

I added crickets in lonely corners, steam coming out of the pipes, wood creaks for the condemned building and much more. But it was the lighting I tried to capture. I wanted players to feel the the atsmosphere stick to them. Relit, modified and bot-pathed a DM, CTF, VCTF and ONS version of this classic Unreal GOTY 3rd party map.
